Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition smartphone launched with 256GB of storage

Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition was announced in an event in Sao Paolo, Brazil on Friday.

The 256GB storage capacity can still be expanded to up to 384GB according to “The Verge”.

The ZenFone 2 Deluxe will launch in Brazil in September. To make things even more interesting, Asus has also left in the microSD slot from the rest of the Zenfone family, so if 256GB are simply not enough, you can pile on an extra 128GB microSD card.

The 64GB memory variant is evaluated at $350, and its 128GB variation cost a $100 more.

It is also worth mentioning that the company shipped 4-5 million ZenFone handsets in the first half of 2015, and they expect to move an additional six million in the third quarter of this year.

The ASUS ZenFone 2 can hold its own in the smartphone market, it provides respectable specifications in a good package for a moderate price point.

Realizing that a step up in storage will be a niche market, Asus has unveiled a ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition smartphone.

The Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe features a 5.50-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and offering a screen to body ratio of 72%.

In addition, it runs Android Lollipop fresh out of the box and backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Asus has since released many variants, including the polygonally stylised Deluxe Edition and the Laser and Selfie versions, which both house more robust cameras. 15,999, and the 32GB variant with 3GB RAM at Rs. It sports a 5.5-inch 720p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. Asus has not expressed any intention of making the ZenFone 2 Deluxe available anywhere else around the world, at least for now.
