Asus ZenFone 2 Gets the Distinction of Being Compared to Samsung’s Flagship

Asus has introduced multiple variants of the ZenFone 2 in India and has now, revealed a new variant of the ZenFone 2 in the United States which will come equipped with 4GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. While its hefty 4 GB of RAM was previously restricted to the higher-capacity models, ASUS is now offering a 16 GB model with the larger memory option for $229. That said, ASUS has not been shy in releasing a number of variants of the device. In fact, not that long ago, the company also unveiled a Deluxe version which comes with a whopping 256GB storage. There was little in between. Reviews say this new version might be one of the most affordable smartphones with 4GB of RAM.

Much like the $200 version before it, this new $230 ZenFone 2 is powered by a 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3560 processor, a slight step down from the 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 chipset found in the $300 ZenFone 2, but not so much that you’ll feel the phone chug. The standard model costs $199 and comes with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM.
