At Fundraiser, Clinton Calls Half of Trump Voters a “Basket of Deplorables”

Donald Trump has declared that Russia’s Vladimir Putin has been a better leader than United States President Barack Obama, as the Republican presidential nominee used a televised forum to argue that he’s best equipped to reassert the US’s global leadership.

Trump told forum host Matt Lauer that he has a plan to defeat ISIS, but he’ll continue to keep it secret, and insisted he has the judgment and common sense to be president.

Throughout his campaign, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has been criticized heavily for his friendly relationship with Russia’s authoritarian leader Vladimir Putin.

“And that’s going to change the day that Donald Trump becomes president”.

Two months before Election Day, Trump’s policies remain largely unformed.

“When he calls me brilliant, I’ll take the compliment”, he said at MSNBC/NBC’s Commander-in-Chief forum. “Donald Trump has a lack of knowledge on everything from force structure to North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to our alliances and partnerships”.

Mr Trump appears to be gaining ground. “And unfortunately, there are people like that, and he has lifted them up”. “#CrookedHillary”, he tweeted, using one of his father’s favorite insults for describing the Democrat.

Many other Republicans are distancing themselves from the remarks and the flattery Trump is showering on Putin.

“Ronald Reagan had his name on a lot of marquees”. “But certainly, in that system, [Putin’s] been a leader, far more than our president has been a leader”.

Trump – a NY native and real estate mogul – has said he donated construction equipment to the recovery effort and gave $100,000 to the memorial after touring it for the first time earlier this year. This is not about me.
