Lauer’s performance was widely panned by critics, who took him to task for letting Donald Trump lie about his opposition to the war in Iraq and managing time poorly during Hillary Clinton’s segment.

Burton, a former deputy White House press secretary, noted that Lauer’s hard-line questioning of Clinton was not the problem, but the fact that he did not grill Trump in the same way.
Reporters burst into laughter in response to the look of disbelief on Clinton’s face.
“She is being so protected”, Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, said to a crowd of more than 10,000 at an evening rally here.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told a Russia-funded television network that “it’s probably unlikely” that Russian Federation is trying to influence the USA election.
“If they are doing something, I hope that somebody’s going to be able to find out so they can end it”.
“This constitutes a direct threat to the United States, and we can not and will never accept this”, Clinton said.

“I think it’s probably unlikely”, he said.
Clinton does not speak frequently about her faith, although she discussed its importance to her in a televised town hall event in February during her battle with US Senator Bernie Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Clinton has so far released more details about her health than Trump.
Two successive presidents, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican George W Bush, have failed to pass immigration reform plans through Congress that would have created very gradual paths to citizenship. But Pence also hedged on praising Trump, remarking that Trump “doesn’t particularly like the system” in reference to Putin’s dictatorship.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks at a LGBT For Hillary Gala at the Cipriani Club, in New York, Friday, Sept. 9, 2016. Pence called it “inarguable” that Putin is a stronger leader than the United States president.

Trump’s praise for Putin’s “strong” leadership has already caused issues, said Evelyn Farkas, a former deputy assistant defense secretary for Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia in the Obama administration. After the forum, the official said, more generals and admirals came forward to offer their endorsements.
