Instead, the name Boys Don’t Cry applies to a print publication that customers received when they purchased his album Blonde at pop-up shop locations installed in London, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. Early Saturday morning, Ocean released the NSFW video which features him rocking eyeliner, nudity and a cameo from A$AP Rocky.
“Blonde” is available on iTunes and is now streaming on Apple Music.
Album collaborators, according to Pitchfork, include David Bowie, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, the Beatles, Andre 3000, Brian Eno and Pharrell.
Frank Ocean has more than delivered on his promise for new music. The glossy features photographs taken by Ocean, an interview with his mother, horoscopes and the lyrics of a rap called “The MacDonalds Man” by Kanye West.
Then later on Saturday Blonde finally appeared on Apple Music.
Frank Ocean on “Blonde”: “I had the time of my life making all of this”. Thank you all. Especially to those who have always remembered that I had something to finish.
