No arrests have been made and police continue to search for the vehicle and the suspects.
Family members, fellow officers and friends said farewell to a NY City police lieutenant who died of cancer 14 years after she worked at ground zero following the September 11 attacks. The dead victim was identified as 43-year-old Angel Quinones.
With a friend lingering in the background, Arcona, 27 told the men, who were waiting for a nearby methadone clinic to open, that he and his friend would be selling drugs in the area.
The letter said officials recognize that Dunham has taken steps to improve security, but they have proved insufficient.
The Daily News quoted sources who reported that three men were seen fleeing the scene.
The man suspected of a carjacking and shooting in Coral Gables on Halloween is now in police custody.
Shots rang out at West 35th Street and Eighth Avenue at about 6:15 a.m. after an argument inside the fast food restaurant, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce.
One of the wounded was shot in the leg and the other was shot twice in the torso. “There’s a group of us here that don’t let things like this go down here”.
“This was not a threatening situation for the police”, said Mark Jeansonne, the attorney for Chris Few, who remained hospitalized Monday and could not attend the funeral of his son, Jeremy Mardis.
“He was a good guy, real good hearted. I can’t believe it”.
Police closed off 35th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues.
