At least 10 dead in SW Pakistan bus explosion
At least 11 people lost their lives and at least 23 others including two children sustained wounds as a result of an explosion in a packed passenger bus here at Saryab Road on Monday, police officials said. Muhammad Younis, Deputy Mayor of Quetta confirmed five people have been killed and as many injured who were being shifted to Bolan Medical Complex. Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said no pilgrims were travelling in the bus.

Police officials have said that more than 20 people have been injured.
IG Balochistan Almish Khan said the bomb was a time device and planted on the roof of the overcrowded bus.
The Baluchistan provincial government declared an emergency.
Speaking to Samaa, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch strongly condemned the blast.
As many as 40 people were on the ill-fated bus.

No group claimed immediate responsibility for the attack but Baluch separatists and sectarian militants operate in the province, which has experienced six decades of violence. “He said the explosion was so loud that he could hear it from his house”.
