At No. 4 overall, Elliott makes history

Earlier reports mentioned that the Cowboys might use the pick to select Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

During an interview with Dan Patrick, Elliott was asked if he thinks there’s a team that has “truly fallen in love” with him.

Three first-round trades are already in the books for tomorrow’s first round of the 2016 National Football League draft: The Rams moved up to No. 1 overall, and the Eagles moved to No. 2 overall after previously swapping picks with the Dolphins. But neither Spiller nor Bush were expected to be bruisers like Elliott, who weighs 225 pounds.

Say What?: One of the few negatives about Elliott came after the Buckeyes lost to Michigan State last fall.

Once the weather gets cold and the games seem to matter more, we always hear the same saying; “When you go on the road, you pack your defense and your running game”. In those 42 games, Elliott ran for 100 yards, or more, 22 times.

Once Romo went down the running back did not stand a chance.

That means if a bettor believes Elliott will still be on the board by selection No. 9 (and thus “over 8.5”), then he or she will win $110.00 for every $100.00 that they wager.

The Cowboys hope Ezekiel Elliott can provide the rushing attack missing since the departure of DeMarco Murray.

The Ohio State running back became known for wearing the midriff-baring look during the 2014 season, which his team capped off by defeating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, saying it made it more hard for defenders to tackle him during games.

Wearing a Dallas Cowboys-blue suit, running back Ezekiel Elliott strode into the Cowboys Valley Ranch headquarters like he belongs. And now that player will be able to run behind one of the NFL’s best offensive lines. “But there are a lot of battle-tested running backs in that room”.

“I have a good track record at AT&T Stadium, and I’m excited to get back in there”, Elliott said.

Elliott can play all three downs as he is a tough runner, excellent pass blocker someone his age and also has great hands out of the backfield.

Running back wasn’t the biggest need going into the draft with Darren McFadden coming off a strong season and the Cowboys adding two-time Pro Bowler Alfred Morris from Washington in free agency.
