I know this is going to make some people happy…. we have started the DROID Turbo soak test for the Android 5.1 upgrade this evening with our forum registered users.

Members of the Motorola Feedback Network are already enjoying an early preview of the 5.1 Lollipop build, claims Droid Life.

GSM Arena wrote that aside from phone camera enhancements, the software update will also provide fixes to improve the HTC One M9’s Wi-Fi performance, notification settings, and security options, among others.

The leakster claims this is a Verizon device, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the DROID, and could be Motorola’s new bigger smartphone set to hit all carriers, just like the Moto X. The company seems to have taken its time with the update and even jumped version 5.0 benefiting users and giving them a fresh new dose of Android to play with.

For a look at all that’s new, check out Motorola’s official changelog for the Motorola DROID Turbo right here. The handset is exclusively available through Verizon in the United States. Similar to the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note approach by Samsung. It comprises of a quad-core processor that clocks at 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 graphics.

There is no memory card slot on the device.
