This is according to a recent tweet by HTC’s VP of Product Management Mo Versi in which he confirmed that the update will be arriving on the HTC One M8 and the HTC One M9 today. “HTC One (M8 & M9) AT&T owners!”

The AT&T users can still grumble, but they can’t say that they don’t have Marshmallow as the carrier is now officially sending out the update to their One M9 devices.

According to several reports, the Android 6.0.1 M update will be rolled out in other nations pretty soon. To name a few, there is Google Now on Tap, a feature that allows you to view information while using any application or browsing the internet, a new app permissions system, Doze, which is a feature that will prove to be very useful when it comes to battery life, and a brand new app drawer. If you have not received the notification update yet, go to the Software Update section in your phone’s Settings and check for the update manually to download it. Also, when you do receive the update it’s recommended that you find a trusty WiFi connection and make sure that your handset is at least halfway charged before starting the process.

If only Android had a little more Marshmallow. The HTC 10 is their best effort yet – the new phone is available through Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.

Some users of the 2015 HTC flagship were nonetheless left out – we’re talking about those on AT&T. Evidently, with approval from the Wi-Fi Alliance, the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A8 is now one big step closer to the finish line.
