In a news briefing, a Louisville MetroSafe official said AT&T customers should be mindful of the outage if they need to make emergency calls. T-Mobile has responded to complaints on Twitter, saying that that it’s aware of the problems and that its engineers are working to restore service ASAP.

The outage has affected much of Kentucky and Tennessee.

AT&T Cares issued this response: “There are issues for both wireless & wireline there [Kentucky]”.

If cell service is not working in your area, let us know in the comments.

AT&T spokesperson Cathy Lewandowski said she was checking into the issue.

Verizon told our sister station WATE-TV in Knoxville they are also having a connectivity issue. However, there’s no estimated time of resolution yet.

The outages are reportedly impacting mobile, landline and data services. “We apologize for any inconvenience”. The U.S. Cellular engineering team reported that two of that vendor’s routers are down, and that is the cause for the service disruption.
