Atleti rule out Costa return
Should Jose Mourinho go back to Real Madrid?

A laughing Costa then either denied throwing the bib at his manager, whose job is precarious given Chelsea’s lowly Premier League position, or suggested his lack of accuracy on the pitch was reflected in his throw.
Obviously I feel he did work that impressed last season when he got the team, and in the beginning of the season he was doing so well and showing some great qualities as a manager.
“This season it is more hard to say this player is being magnificent”. If I want to throw the bib at him it would have been impossible to fail because I was very close. “One year ago Ranieri was sacked from Greece national team after losing to the Faroe Islands and at this moment they are top and he is the top manager in the league”.
Mourinho also said the Brazil-born Spain striker’s lack of confidence was clear against Porto, where Costa forced a lucky break in an opening goal after which the visitors could not respond.
Mourinho thanked the Chelsea fans for their patience, a virtue he rarely experienced from supporters during his tenure at Spanish giants Real Madrid.
But his form has led to suggestions Chelsea are in the market for a new striker, while he has often been linked with a return to Spain.
“When you are champion you wave and share the emotion, but I know for sure the Chelsea fans don’t need to be reminded, that is for sure”.
Asked about the Madrid link, the 52-year-old said: “I imagine myself finishing my contract with Chelsea”.
“Life takes plenty of twists and turns – I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, support them from far”.
He added: “That’s just as well, Atleti are a very uncomfortable side to play against”.

The Blues endured a poor start to the 2015/2016 and have already suffered eight losses in the league, which has seen them drop to 14th spot in standings.
