Filipe Luís has been sold back to Atlético Madrid after the clubs agreed terms over a permanent transfer.

“The Brazilian has signed for the next four seasons”.

British media reported that Atletico paid about 15 million euros to buy him back.

However, largely due to the superb and unheralded form of Cesar Azpilicueta, Luis is set to move back to his former employers to secure regular first-team football.

Now I’m just thinking about joining the team and training as hard as I can to help Atlético de Madrid continue to make history.

Atletico Madrid have officially re-signed Filipe Luis from Chelsea, as per reports on the club’s official website.

The Brazil worldwide won his 18th cap at the recent Copa America in Chile where he featured in all his country’s matches before they lost in a quarter-final penalty shoot-out to Paraguay in June. We strengthen ourselves with one of the most talented wingers in the world.

Atletico said it was reinforcing its squad and expected him to adapt quickly as “he already knows our club and our way of playing”.
