The Tigers are heading back to the College World Series thanks to strong pitching that carried Auburn to a pair of victories Sunday in the Super Regional at Jane B. Moore Field.

O’Toole improved to 26-10 on the season, including a 4-0 mark in the Wildcats’ four games this postseason.
Arizona’s offense didn’t help much -the Wildcats only had one hit through three innings, at that point already trailing 4-0. She limited the Tigers, who entered the weekend tied for the NCAA-lead, averaging 8.31 runs/game, to just three runs, two of which were unearned.
Down 1-0, Auburn scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. The victor of Game 3 will advance to the NCAA Women’s College World Series. And as Myers faced off against his friend and former rival, Arizona coach Mike Candrea, the former Arizona State coach finally came away with a winning record (13-12) against his mentor and buddy.
Arizona again tried to pitch O’Toole in the decisive Game 3. The Wildcats and Tigers meet at 2:15 p.m. MST on ESPNU. Cooper drove in Auburn’s first run and Wallace drove in the second run on a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
Auburn used a solo home run to cut the lead to two in the seventh, but that would be as close as the Tigers would come.
Auburn tacked on another run, off Taylor McQuillin, in the sixth inning on a Emily Carosone single.

Nancy Bowling, who also pitched 2.2 innings, hit an RBI single to put Arizona (40-21) on the board in the sixth.
