German luxury vehicle manufacturer Audi has upgraded its premium SUV Q3 with new details in the exterior design.

Unveiled overnight, the update includes a raft of visual changes to the Q3’s front fascia, but doesn’t alter the car’s available equipment, nor are there any drivetrain tweaks. The front of the new Q3 has been slightly redesigned with a new bumper that comes with larger air intakes, a wider air dam and a black chrome slat underneath. There’s also a body-colour blade underneath the lower air intake, and the single-frame grille is now finished off in stone grey. High-gloss black accents adorn certain sections of the car’s front face, and wheel arches are accented in stone gray.

On top of this is a new S line competition trim that has these parts in gloss black, and extends the finish to the grille, air inlets, door trim strips, roof rails, door mirror housings, window slot trim and tailgate spoiler. Indicating the car’s new trim line, a S badge is mounted on the fender but it is presented in such a subtle manner that you may not notice it instantly. Inside, the sports seats get part-leather upholstery with the S line logo embossed in the centre; buyers can also opt for leather-Alcantara combination or full fine Nappa leather options. The compact crossover gets a host of new exterior and interior updates while exterior color Tundra Brown has been replaced by Camouflage Green. The flat-bottomed, multifunction sport leather steering wheel in 3-spoke design bears an S line logo and contrasting stitching. The model will reach dealerships this fall and prices will remain the same, the base Q3 costing €30,100. The same was recently revealed by the automaker and is expected to be launched sometime during the latter part of this year of early 2017. The S line sport suspension system is standard on the competition model, which can be paired with any engine in the Q3 lineup. The Audi Q3 S line competition lists for 33,050 euros (around Rs 24 lakh).
