We are all excited for the new auto, however with the release of this new teaser trailer by Audi, we have gone ecstatic.

Judging by our spy shots, the new Q5 will feature similar proportions to the outgoing model.
The new Q5 is based on the SUV-version of Audi’s latest Major League Baseball platform and for North American markets will be sourced from a plant in Mexico. Which is why you’ll see that the vehicle even shares its design and styling with its older sibling the new-gen Q7.
The lightness of the Q5 will allow the SUV to offer a more optimized performance and fuel economy from the wide array of engine options that it will be sold with. So you can expect to see a large single-frame hexagonal grille, flanked by sleek Metrix LED headlamps, with sharp DRLs. Lines and creases make it clear that the shape of the Q5’s back end has changed a bit, though cut lines seem to suggest the model will retain its signature clamshell liftgate. It confirmed that the rear units will also feature LED technology.
The video hints at compatibility with Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto, revealing only the taillights of the vehicle. Audi also hinted at equipping the gadgetry inside the cabin with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Powertrain options are likely to be borrowed from its sedan siblings, and will probably include petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid power plants.

Also, for the first time, this new SUV from Audi will opt for a front-wheel-drive drivetrain as well apart from the Quattro (all-wheel-drive) set-up.
