Audi R8 and Audi R8 Plus unleashed with a turbocharged engine

Though relatively smaller, the R8 and R8 Plus versions aren’t pushover as they are beefed up with vast power and superb features.

The base model of the R8 gives an output of 540 horsepower and takes 0.3 seconds longer to speed up to 60mph compared to the R8 Plus.

The Audi company which was established in 1899 by August Horch and recognizable by its four ring insignia is giving the racing fans and aficionados the chance to test-drive its new-fangled R8 model turbocharged engine vehicle without any charge under the initiative of its “Supercars on Demand” program on Wednesday.

Some of the board members of the automaker just summed up base model of the new offering in two simple words “forced induction” without forgetting to add that it was an “entry level supercar”.

The automaker’s latest supercar boasts of an enormous power in a compact package that can beat any supercar in a single sprint.

Audi has recently unveiled its all-new Audi R8 powerful sports car. If you put the pedal to the metal in the R8 plus it is capable of creating massive torque, thanks to the German fitted turbo engine.

Dr. Hackenberg reported to have said: “It is inevitable that we will go to a turbocharged motor for it at some point”. However, both Audi’s feature a top speed of 200mph. However, a few people who have already driven the car report a marginal increase of 5 miles per hour taking it to 205 but that is not a very significant variation in the instant case. The configuration offers rich history with Audi brand and the 5 cylinder motor in RS 3 gives its unique Audi sound. According to the executive, Audi will focus on naturally aspirated engines for the time being, and if and when Audi decides to outfit the R8 with a turbo, it will be within the current model cycle.
