While he announced that the company faced losses in the quarterly reports, the company’s CEO added that they are planning to fix it when the new Model 3 goes into production.

Peter joins Tesla from Audi where he has spent the last 22 years working across the entire production chain. The Fisker Karma was an incredible looking auto, but they constantly broke down had trouble manufacturing them. He’s likewise been working as a consultant on a new Audi production center in Mexico. He’s going to join Tesla as vice president of vehicle production.
Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk tweeted Sunday (May 15) night that he only recently heard of these claims, and that he will investigate the allegations to “make it right”.
The testing of the filtration system on the Tesla model 3 has been made and all being well we should expect to see it on the Model S.
The automaker has announced to complete the vehicle’s supplier parts and internal parts by July 1, 2017, and finalize the tooling design by the end of next month.
Tesla has the dubious distinction of being known for missing delivery deadlines, however, the company does not want to repeat mistakes.
It sounds insane because at the end of previous year, Tesla only managed to move 50,000 Model S and Model X units combined.
Twenty Chinese Model S owners gave testimonials for the ad, with their voices laid behind footage of their collective e-car convoy rolling through the mountainous highways and cityscaped streets of the Zhejiang Province. The newly hired executive will be responsible for the production of Tesla’s Model X and Model S which are the company’s strong suites while on the other hand he will be developing a mass market for the new Model 3 as well.
With the first-quarter earnings release last week, Tesla said it had $US1.44 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, up from $US1.19 billion three months earlier. This makes the new hiring of Audi’s production chief ever-so important.
Implicitly, Musk is seemingly acknowledging that manufacturing has been Tesla’s weakest link to date, and the area where it needs to improve the most in order to achieve mass-market volumes.
So hold onto your hats, Tesla fans.
