Akira is the remake version of Tamil blockbuster “Mouna Guru” which was released in 2011. Akira is full with six songs and each song of the film is sung by top artists of the industry.
Another surprise for the fans can be the alleged cameo of superstar Akshay Kumar in the film which may also help boost the box office numbers.
Presented by Fox Star Studios, “Akira” brought Sonakshi and Murugadoss together once again. Ankita Karan Patel, Teena Singh, Amit Sadh, Urmila Mahanta, Atul Kulkarni, Lokesh Vijay Gupte, Mishiekka Arora played the supporting character of the film.
So, the total box office collection is around 18.60 Crore till now. Although the action film’s second day domestic collection did not witness much rise, “Akira” enjoyed 16.98 per cent growth in its business on Sunday, having earned Rs. 6.20 crore. On the next day i.e. Saturday, being weekend it remained steady and minted the amount of 5.30 crores.

Looking at the trailer and the way Sonakshi Sinha is promoting her film “Akira”, it wasn’t wrong to predict that this action thriller was likely to witness a good opening at the box office on Friday, September 2.
