Augusta GA elementary school student shot, school on lock down
A student at W.S. Hornsby K-8 School was grazed by a bullet Tuesday morning, according to Richmond County School System officials.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – NBC 26 has just learned of a shooting at W.S. Hornsby School at 310 Kentucky Avenue in Augusta.
Mr Jacobs declined to name the students and would not give their ages or grade level.
A student was injured after a classmate brought a gun to school and it accidentally went off while he was playing with it.
A Georgia boy who had a gun in his desk at school was taken into custody after the firearm accidentally went off, wounding a female student, WAGT reports.
Officials told us that a male student had reportedly brought a gun to school and had it in his desk. Her condition is not known at this time.
