Aussie woman wakes up to 5-meter python in bedroom
An Australian woman had an uncomfortably close encounter with a 16-feet python that she found stretched out from her living room to her guest bedroom – it looks as frightening as it sounds.

I mean, it’s very big.
Hibberd actually believes the snake, which she nicknamed Monty, has been on her roof for years: “First photo I have of him was in 2012 but I’m pretty sure he’s been in the roof for a lot longer”, Hibberd writes in her Facebook comments.
“We knew the snake was there but I had never seen it inside, not that I know of”.
The 40kg python was released into a sewerage plant with a rodent problem.
Ms Birrell was the one who raised the alarm, alerting her host to Monty’s intimidating presence on the lounge room wall. “Snake catcher said he was a kangaroo killer!”
Monty was still in the bedroom when snake catcher Dave Goodwin arrived.
But on Monday morning – an abnormally cool day in tropical northern Australia – the snake left his hiding place and began to explore Ms Hibberd’s house.
It’s not the first time the reptile has made an indoor appearance.
“Its frigging huge! Have it locked in bedroom waiting for help.my life is never boring”, Hibberd told friends on Facebook.
