“This group has been together for a few years, they have a good understanding of one another”, Pierce said.

By comparison, LA had 15 turnovers that turned into 17 points for Sacramento.

Blake Griffin led both teams with 33 points in a game that was decided with 2:20 remaining. Guard J.J. Reddick’s outside jumper broke the tie, and Paul’s short shot made it a two-possession margin that the Kings could not overcome.

Rivers threw the cushion in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ 111-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Sacramento Kings’ franchise center DeMarcus Cousins had been the subject of trade rumors since May and it looks like all the speculations will be carried over into the regular season.

“The one thing we are doing better this year is that we are letting those three lead”.

The talented, experienced, potential-filled Clippers now have everything to prove about being able to win when it matters. Second half, we didn’t do a good enough job of defending the 3. The Kings faced a hungry veteran Clippers team that gave them all they can handle in the first three quarters. Chris Paul finished the night with 18 points, and 11 assists.

Players like 23-year-old point guard Darren Collison, 30-minute gameplay contribution on the court and 29-year-old point guard Rajon Rondo 13-points provided Sacramento a comeback breather to push Los Angeles impressively.

“It was like a team win”, said Clippers Coach Doc Rivers and “that’s how you want to win”. His limited action matched with his poor performance, which includes he missed all three shots from the field, most likely had him rejoined the bench as instructed by his father. He started and scored 16 points….

Kings: Cousins made four of five 3-pointers in the opener.

“I’m just building confidence behind it”, Cousin said of shooting the long ball.
