The Australian Olympic team are evacuated from the Athletes’ Village in Rio due to a “small fire” breaking out in the basement of their building.
Updated: the Australian Olympic Committee has put on a statement on the incident. The Olympic torch, which will be carried through the streets before the opening ceremonies, was extinguished in the wake citizens being killed for opposing the rancid and scorching working conditions as the city and country try to complete facilities.
“What we understand is the fire alarm had actually been silenced in our building while they were doing maintenance work on a building next door, so the alarms and sprinklers didn’t activate”, Chiller told AAP.
