Australian big man signs with UK, expected on campus this weekend
The University of Kentucky has officially bolstered its frontcourt for the 2015-16 season with the signing of 7-foot, 245-pound Australian center Isaac Humphries, according to multiple reports.

Humphries played last season at La Lumiere School in Indiana and recently helped Australia’s Under-17 team finish second at the World Championships.
Most importantly for Calipari, Humphries fills a void left by the departures of Willie Cauley-Stein, Karl-Anthony Towns, Trey Lyles and Dakari Johnson.
Scout.com national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels reported Thursday that Humphries is expected to move into the players’ lodge Sunday with classes starting at Kentucky on Wednesday.
Humphries visited Kentucky earlier this month and chose the Wildcats over schools like Oregon, New Mexico, Wichita State and others. Guiding the Australians to the championship game, Humphries led the team in scoring (18.9 points per game), rebounding (11.6 rebounds per game), blocked shots (3.3 blocks per game) and field-goal percentage (.576). Whether they’re from Lexington, Ky., or Toronto, Canada, or from Australia, who wants this?

Humphries joins Skal Labissiere, Jamal Murray, Isaiah Briscoe, Charles Matthews and Mychal Mulder in the class of 2015. Because guys who play here, they’ll tell – you’ve got to want this. He has to go to college for two years.
