Top seeded pair Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis marched into the women’s doubles final of the Australian Open at the Melbourne Park on Wednesday.
Martina Hingis, who is all set to face Sania in the mixed doubles quater-finals, is the Indian woman tennis star’s doubles partner. Their winning streak extended to 37 matches following the victory. They also bagged for themselves several titles at Sydney and Brisbane International events that were held before Australian Open Campaign.
In the second set, it was the turn of Paes-Hingis to be jolted as their service was broken in the first game.
Sania will be looking to continue her magnificent run in the Australian Open.
With the roof closed on Rod Laver Arena because of rain showers in the area, Williams broke Radwanska’s service to open the match and was rarely troubled in the 21-minute set.
Meanwhile, Andy Murray set up an Australian Open semi-final against the much-improved Milos Raonic when he weathered a fierce attack by David Ferrer on a day of rare success for Britain.
This will be Sania’s first women’s doubles final here with her previous best coming in 2012 when she reached the semis with Russian Elena Vesnina.

Paes and Hingis won last year’s title, but this year were unseeded at the tournament.
