Australian Says He Created Bitcoin, but Some Sceptical
Many Bitcoiners said Wright had not done enough to definitively prove that he was Nakamoto, who maintained his anonymity throughout his involvement with Bitcoin, which he stepped away from in 2011.

In contrast to these reports, Bitcoin Foundation current chief scientist Gavin Andresen believes that Craig Wright is Satoshi according to Wired.
He said that he was not the sole person behind the technology.
It’s a mystery. Bitcoin was launched in 2009 by a person or group of people operating under the name Satoshi Nakamoto.
The identity debate is crucial for bitcoin as those in the virtual currency community take sides over its direction.
There is now no publicly available cryptographic proof that anyone in particular is Bitcoin’s creator. Some economists point to the fact that because it is limited, its price will increase over the long run, making it less useful as a currency and more a vehicle to store value, like gold. The keys are hard to separate and are linked to blocks of bitcoins known to have been created by “mined” by Satoshi Nakamoto. The paper laid the foundation for what would become Bitcoin a crypto-currency.
“If it’s really him, the impact could be really big because he got something like one million Bitcoin”.
That movement ranges from libertarian enthusiasts to central banks experimenting with digital currencies, all of which pay homage in some way to Nakamoto’s writings.
According to Gulf News, Craig Wright was the official signatory in “Bitcoin” encryption codes. But in September, New York state regulators approved their first license for a company dealing in bitcoin. Other digital currencies followed but Bitcoin was by far the most popular.
After that, a website endorsed and authorized by Nakamoto appeared saying he planned to press charges against Newsweek, the outlet that suggested he was bitcoin’s creator.
It has nearly been seven years since the introduction of Bitcoin and the identity of Nakamota was a well-kept secret. “I’m now able to build on what I have previously completed by releasing my research and academic work and help people understand just how powerful this can really be”. Nakamoto is believed to have about 1 million Bitcoins, about $450 million in exchange, so if Wright is actually the creator he should have that amount into his account.
“I think it is a bit of an oxymoron there to say “here’s my claim, but I can’t validate it” – especially when you’re in that space”, Mr Cullen told AAP.
“I’m not seeking publicity, but want to set the record straight”, he said.

“I was the main part of it, other people helped me”, Wright, who is now living in London, told the BBC. “After a raid by Australian tax officials on his house in Sydney, many came to believe that the entire story was an elaborate hoax staged by Mr Wright himself”.
