Barrett, according to local TV channel, Samaa, was blacklisted by Pakistan in 2011 after being captured from a sensitive location in Fateh Jang tehsil of Punjab’s Attock district.
Barrett had lived in Pakistan for four years before he was deported.
The American citizen “Mathew” was arrested in the past for spying the nuclear installations and deported from the country with the charge of violation of laws and suspicious activities. An FIA official said a court has allowed the agency to hold him for three days for investigation.
