A MA boat crash Saturday during the annual Bill Giles Memorial Regatta killed a 39-year-old man and injured two other people, one critically. All three drivers were thrown into the water.
Members of the Taunton FD’s dive team were on scene and were quickly able to pull all three individuals from the water. The third boat driver, a 67-year-old ME man, was taken to a hospital with critical injuries and the driver of the first boat, a 72-year-old ME man, suffered minor injuries.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Sunday that 39-year-old Mark Greene died on Saturday following a three-boat crash involving his hydroplane watercraft.
Officials have not released the names of the victims. The other man suffered only minor injuries.
No foul play is suspected.

The death at this year’s regatta is not the first time someone has died at the event. In 2012, a Walpole man was killed when his boat flipped.
