Crawford told authorities that Kaylynn was taken from his auto while it was parked at a Dollar General.
The infant was with her father when the abduction took place around 8:40pm Sunday, WLWT reported. But, investigators say that story was made up.
The search started around 9 p.m. Sunday when Crawford called 911 to report his daughter missing.
“She was in the vehicle…”
When Crawford came back out, he said his daughter was gone.
Kaylynn’s mom is from Mt.
Hamilton County dispatchers said they first received a report on the possible incident from someone calling from a location on Englage Road.
There was an overnight search at the Kelley Nature Preserve in Miami Township, officials said.
Crawford is now in custody at the Clermont County Jail.
