The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will make a final determination on the victim’s identity.

Seattle Police identified John Charlton, 37, as a suspect after an investigation into the evidence.

The disclosure Tuesday came as a King County judge ordered the suspect in the case, John Robert Charlton, held on $2 million bail.

Gordon Hill, Charlton’s public defender, said at a court appearance Tuesday that no forensic evidence had linked any particular person to the crime. The church hosted a vigil on behalf of Lyne after remains…

The family of 40-year-old Ingrid Lyne said Tuesday a light went out of their lives forever with the death of their beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend.

“My name is John”, Charlton replied.

“As you can imagine, our team is distraught to hear this news about Ingrid”, said Mary Beth Lowell, communications director for Providence Health and Services, who also was waiting for official confirmation of Lyne’s death. I mean he does yard work; I’ve seen him play with kids, nothing out of the ordinary.

“[She] was a good neighbor”.

John Robert Charlton was convicted of a 2009 felony theft in Montana, negligent driving in Washington state in 1998, and a second-degree felony for aggravated robbery in Utah in 2006. Things took a turn for the worse Saturday afternoon when a homeowner discovered a foot, head and an unidentified body part near 21st Avenue and East Pine Street inside several plastic bags.

Charlton had cuts on and scratches on his forehead, hands and chest and injuries to his lip and chin when he was arrested Monday, police said.

On Saturday, Charlton made a odd Facebook update, changing his education status to “School of All OF Them”.

Concerns over her well-being grew after she wasn’t home when her ex-husband, Phil Lyne, stopped to drop the children off Saturday morning.

Authorities believe the remains belong to a Renton woman reported missing earlier that day. The victim’s mother found Charlton’s phone number in her daughter’s cell phone records. “What’s going on? We went to the Mariner’s game last night but we didn’t stay the night together because she has her kids today …”

Lyne’s mother then asked when he saw her last. Ariz. said her friend’s daughters were her pride and joy. He acknowledged that they went to the game and that he spent the night with her Friday, police said. Any help would be appreciated. She had planned to go to the Mariners season opener with a date. Family members told detectives the saw wasn’t normally in the bathroom.

The probable cause documents also state, according to Fox Q13, that Charlton claimed he was not exactly sure how he left Ingrid’s house but thought she had probably driven him back to Seattle where he allegedly, “slept on the sidewalk”.
