Police have placed a gag order on details of the investigation into what caused the collapse, according to Haaretz, which reported that a number of serious safety accidents have occurred in recent months at sites under construction by Danya Cebus, the company operating the site where Monday’s collapse occurred.

Paramedics were called to the scene on Monday morning.

“Rescue forces have extracted an additional body”, an army statement said, with three more construction workers still believed to be missing.

The four-story parking garage was still under construction when it collapsed.

Teams worked all night to search for survivors inside the wreckage of the multilevel parking garage under construction that collapsed. He described the scene as “very complicated” and said rescue efforts could continue for several days.

Israeli rescuers pulled two more bodies from the rubble of a collapsed Tel Aviv building site Tuesday, bringing the death toll to four as searches continued, the army said.

Local media reported that the missing workers are Palestinian citizens of Israel and Palestinian residents of the West Bank. At least 20 people were injured in the accident.

“They had lots of luck”, Listenberg said. Those killed were not identified but they were likely workers at the construction zone.

The collapse occurred in Tel Aviv’s Ramat Hahayal neighborhood at the construction site that appeared to be around half-finished.
