On Thursday, Prince, whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson, was found unresponsive in an elevator inside his Minnesota home and later pronounced dead.

An autopsy was set for Friday morning at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Ramsey, Minnesota, but it could be days or weeks before results are complete, the agency said.

Prince was last seen about 8 p.m. Wednesday when he was dropped off at home.

It was originally reported that an unidentified person had died at Prince’s home, causing major concern for the singer’s health. The sheriff declined to say who made the initial 911 call, saying that information is private. We have lost our greatest living musician.

The sheriff said there were “no obvious signs of trauma” on Prince’s body, noting: “A sign of trauma would be some sign of violence that had happened, there was no sign of that at all”.

“Yea Kayley, this is Shirley at Ridgeview, you can cancel anybody going to Audobon, confirmed DOA”, she said. “I mean I tried to copy what he was doing”. Prince’s music, the result of a decades-long career, isn’t available on typical streaming sites like Spotify or Apple Music, and that’s exactly how Prince wanted it. Yes, it’s sad, but it’s also – in true Prince style – sexy as hell, charting a threesome gone wrong.

Released in 1990, this Prince-penned R&B number is uncharacteristically U-rated, an ode to making it “in the big city” and striving to actually make something of yourself because “nothin’ comes from dreamers but dreams”. “With the whole piano and microphone thing, I think he was definitely prepping for something and I think “Piano and a Microphone” [Prince’s most recent album] was his way of playing his music in the most honest way”. A pair of unannounced Prince shows, secretly scheduled for April 18 at the Fox Theatre, weren’t meant to be.

Prince proposed to Sheila E live on stage during a performance of Purple Rain years later, and she said yes.

But despite being one of the world’s most successful artists, winning seven Grammy awards in his lifetime, Prince would go out of his way to ensure his accolades and platinum albums where kept out of sight from visitors – including fans on guided tours. It was unclear if his epilepsy carried into adulthood.

“He said he was good”, she said.

Prince – a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger and occasional actor – was one of the most popular and influential recording artists of his era.

Buy his music: Naturally, Prince’s albums are available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital stores, and any record store in Portland will be surely featuring them prominently this week.

Over the past few hours, many fans pointed how Prince was for young black kids who couldn’t fit in, what David Bowie was for white kids.
