The Marvel Cinematic Universe may be getting a renovation to the title of its fourth Avengers movie, but don’t expect any major change in direction.
Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (the screenwriters for Captain America: Civil War) will be penning the screenplay for Avengers: Infinity War.
Marvel’s next “Avengers” adventure – titled “Infinity War” – might no longer be told two in two parts, as it was previously announced to be. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are now hard at work on the scripts, writing them both in tandem. However, the studio has now confirmed that they would in fact be very different plots.
According to a report by Collider, Walt Disney and Marvel have both made a decision to cut down the 2-part itinerary for what was supposed to be the final film of the “Avengers” trilogy. Straying away from Part 1/2 movies is probably a smart move, they haven’t been particularly well received since Harry Potter – just look at the reception for Hunger Games’ final two movies. By the time both Marvel and DC announced their intentions for two-part Avengers and Justice League sagas respectively, it was more of an expectation than a surprise.
The post Marvel’s next “Avengers” films will actually just be one film appeared first on HelloGiggles. Back in May, the two spoke with Uproxx about the planned switch, saying that labeling them as a two-parter was “misleading” because the films are “two very different movies”. Audiences will likely not even be able to take a guess as what could be coming in the 2019 Avengers movie until Avengers: Infinity War hits the silver screen in May, 2018.
That circles us back around to Marvel’s new Infinity War roadmap.

Stars of the first two “Avengers” films include Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk).
