Avril Lavigne launched Lyme disease campaign on her birthday
According to Inquisitir Lavigne has launched The Avril Lavigne Foundation, which will raise funds and awareness for children and young adults who have the illness.

Now recovering from the said disease and celebrating another fruitful year of her life, the “Keep Holding On” singer has geared to launch a campaign beneficial to those who are suffering Lyme disease around the globe. News reported that once the campaign will end its run on November. 9, the grand victor will get to spend time with Avril Lavigne and also have a part in “Charming“, which is the animated movie featuring the voice of the rocker as Snow White.
The Canadian pop star is working with Prizeo, a digital fundraising platform, to raise money for the Avril Lavigne Foundation. But after my mom fell ill and went undiagnosed for years while told she had a myriad of other diseases, given steroids to manage pain that only made her sicker, and spent many very bad days in the hospital, I know how serious it can be. The “Hello Kitty” took the opportunity of her personal milestone to spread her cause of supporting patients with Lyme disease through a foundation.
Last June, Lavigne announced that she was diagnosed with the said disease.
Avril Lavigne showed no woes over her recent divorce from husband Chad Kroeger as she celebratess her 31 birthday with a objective. “My fans are always so supportive and ready to give back; I look forward to coming together for an issue that’s so close to me”. During an interview, she indicated, “I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move”.

In a video posted on YouTube, Avril thanked her fans for their support “through everything”. She was diagnosed with a severe case of Lyme disease, and at one point, thought she was dying.
