You may remember those viral Avril Lavigne photos from her Brazilian meet & greet in 2014.

The “Complicated” songstress has spoken up in response to a Tumblr post that features celebs like Avril, Katy Perry, Kanye West and Britney Spears being compared to Taylor Swift when it comes to fan interaction.
The drama began on Tumblr, where Swift allegedly liked a post showing Lavigne and other celebrities awkwardly posing with fans, whereas Swift was pictured embracing her supporters.
But on Sunday, Lavigne told the world to stop making comparisons.
Avril continued, posting a collage of her with her Black Stars.
Though Swift didn’t add any further commentary, the simple act of liking the post made it seem like she approved of its shady message. “We all Love our fans”, Avril wrote.
Avril’s fans showed their idol how much they loved her after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease a year ago, leaving her bedridden for five months.

Lavigne’s fans also noted the irony that Swift, who has always been a firm believer in not pitting women against each other, is liking a post that is seemingly doing just that. Recently, Lavigne gave a teary interview about her health issues, telling “Good Morning America” that her fans supported her and gave her strength while she was physically and emotionally weak. “And it sounds silly saying it, but I really truly did feel my fans through the process”.
