Picking either side will essentially give your entire Google account and corresponding apps a makeover in accordance to whichever side you choose, so like Google states in the promo video above, choose carefully! Their favorite Google apps will transform to reflect the path they choose.

One of the largest film franchises, Star Wars, will be launching the seventh film in the series The Force Awakens in December, and to coincide with the release is a newly developed virtual reality (VR) experience.
Google wants you to choose a side. Below you can vote for which of the two sides you chose to fire up when you first saw Star Wars integration with Google services this morning (or afternoon, or night). Waze, Android Wear and Google translate will also soon receive their own Star Wars specific features. There are little Easter eggs everywhere across Google’s apps such as the YouTube progress bar turning into a blue or red lightsaber for which side you pick.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams has revealed that he has finished the film after pulling an all-nighter at the weekend. In the interim we have seen countless new clips hidden among global trailers and TV spots. Combined with the boundary shattering box office stats projected for The Force Awakens, these have the potential to be the biggest VR events of the year.
