Awkward (but funny) silence: Shark segment leaves Today Show hosts gobsmacked
The broadcaster from Australian network 9News was rendered speechless by a terrifying Discovery Channel clip of a huge four-and-a-half metre shark leaping out the water in slow motion.

The segment itself was actually about the equipment that allows cameramen for the Discovery Channel to get better footage of sharks than they’ve ever been able to in the past.
The video shows a large 4.5-metre shark shoot out of the water, before panning back to Karl who is shell-shocked by the scene.
The close up footage captures nature’s wonder in all its glory as the enormous ocean beast rising above the water before crashing onto the surface.
Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson are not sold on whether the shark is real. “So, they’ll probably knock [the WASP] around and test it”, Mr Kurr said.
As the segment returned to the studio Stefanovic just stared into the camera.

Wilkinson appeared just as shocked, before she and Stefanovic agreed that their local swimming pool would offer a safe enough haven from great white sharks.
