Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add depth to his squad ahead of Tottenham’s return to the Champions League, and yesterday completed the signing of midfielder Victor Wanyama from Southampton.

Of course, it’s still early and more specific target names will emerge soon, but AZ Alkmaar forward Vincent Janssen could be the next summer buy.

But that doesn’t appear to be the case, with AD reporting that the north London club have seen an opening transfer bid rejected.

Despite receiving three improved offers so far, AZ Alkmaar’s Technical Director Max Huiberts is unimpressed with Spurs. Should Spurs up their bid?

“I hear a lot of rumours and a number of other clubs have made inquiries, but there is no other club that is concrete right now”.

The Dutch global striker was given permission to talk to Spurs earlier this month and he spent a day in London listening to Mauricio Pochettino’s vision, with German side Wolfsburg also understood to be keen on the 22-year-old, who was Eridivisie’s top scorer last season.
