Azam Khan slams BJP for highlighting beef row

“I humbly request to the highest worldwide body to look into our miseries and take care of us and impress upon the Indian government to stick to global agreements and allow to flourish secularism and plurality in the country and not to push the agenda of extra constitutional authorities to turn India into theocratic majority Hindu nation”, he said.

Taking the political slugfest over Dadri lynching incident to another level, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, Monday, declared that he will approach the United Nations to seek justice.

“I have written a letter to the UN Secretary General explaining the condition of Muslims in India today and seeking his intervention”.

Khan said the issue of beef is being politicised ahead of Bihar elections. There is no talk of development.

“The involvement of the BJP in the Dadri incident is further established with the arrest of a party leader’s son as prime suspect in organising the meeting which culminated in the attack on the victim’s home”.

Khan urged people to target five-star hotels serving beef…”just as you razed the Babri mosque”. Azam Khan also attacked the RSS, saying it is looking for issues to divide communities on religious lines. “Why doesn’t the government cancel their licenses?” he asked.

He said, “If India becomes a Hindu Rashtra then what will be the role of Muslims?”

This, the complainant alleged, was a reference to the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots in which 63 people were killed and more than 50,000 were displaced.
