President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the “Protocol of the Fifth Meeting of the Council of Presidents of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine”. “We have talked about this and we welcome Azerbaijan’s similar stance over Crimea”, the Ukrainian President said who called Azerbaijan his strategic ally.
“One of the most promising projects are supplies of Ukrainian An-178 transport aircraft to Azerbaijan and joint production of these aircraft in future, in particular in the territory of Azerbaijan”, Poroshenko said at the conference.
“A successful realization of the project will allow Ukrainian manufacturers to actively develop on new markets”, Ukraine’s President declared.
Azerbaijan, jointly with its partners, is working to create a North-South transport corridor, Aliyev said.
Mr. Asadov highlighted Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations, adding this visit would contribute to further developing bonds between the two countries.
