After many months of tests and observations, doctors finally diagnosed Jaxon with microhydranencephaly, a severe brain mal-formation for which there is no known cure.
“You can’t see our shocked and happy expressions behind the camera, but we are super proud parents to be able to witness Jaxon speaking, !!!”
Taking to his “Jaxon Strong” Facebook page, his doting parents shared a candid clip of him speaking after he managed to utter his first words.
“Such a brilliant little man!!!”
To celebrate his son’s birthday, and to reflect on the hardships they have overcome, Jaxon’s father, Brandon, has penned this heartfelt letter to his baby boy.
“That’s our focus, along with his story and inspiration benefiting other families and the medical community”. Jaxon’s parents wrote on the Facebook post.
Brittany continued by asking friends not to let her see anymore hurtful comments: “I would like to respectfully ask each and every one of you to please no longer tag me or remind me of any post that has surfaced in regards to negatively against Jaxon”.

The condition is a severe brain development abnormality and in Jaxon’s case is characterised by his small skull. On Facebook, Jaxon’s parents thanked the “loving and supportive people” that reached out to them from all over the world. What they didn’t prepare for was Jaxon’s incredible bravery and strength of will.
