Baby still alive when mom tossed out window, police say
Police confirmed that they are now questioning the girl’s mother regarding the incident.

Jennifer Berry’s daughter was found by New York police officers when they were called to her boyfriend’s Bronx apartment block at 2.30pm on Monday after receiving a call an infant had fallen from a window.
Johnson told cops he asked if she was pregnant, and she told him she’d had an abortion about four months ago.
The little girl is thought to have only taken a few breaths and still had the umbilical cord attached when she was tossed out of the top floor building. 29-year old Kenneth Bolton explained, “The devil was in her eyes”.
Berry, who lives in Yonkers, initially denied to police that she was pregnant before saying she had given birth in the shower, authorities said. These injuries would be consistent with a baby falling from that height, according to the Time’s report.
And now investigators are revisiting the death of that baby born to Jennifer Berry. I didn’t know any of this.
In a gut-churning twist, records indicate Berry was once employed by the Administration for Children’s Services.
Police say the baby showed signs of trauma. “The medical examiner has determined that the baby was alive”. “This was a healthy baby girl”, Barker said in court, according to the Daily News of New York. The spokesperson could not confirm if Berry left the job or if she was terminated. She next appears in court October 5.

Neighbors said they only saw Berry periodically in the building where she lived with the newborn’s father and a toddler from a previous relationship.
