Their father, Jamal Mia, said he was “awestruck” when he saw his daughters: “She has two fully developed heads”. It has two fully developed heads. “Initial tests showed the baby has only one set of vital organs”.
Thousands of people have reportedly flocked to the hospital in Brahmanbaria, east of Dhaka, where she was delivered by Caesarean section, to catch a glimpse of the newborn.
But Mia, a poor farm laborer, is anxious he doesn’t have the funds to care for his newborn’s medical needs, ABC reported.
“I feel sad for her. She has been born to a poor man”, Mia said.
“The entire town poured into the clinic”. “I don’t have money to even properly treat her mother”.
“There were thousands of people with a few of them coming from the nearby villages”. Otherwise, it would have been hard for us to control the crowd’.
It may be that the baby has a condition known as dicephalic parapagus, something which occurs once in about 50,000 to 100,000 births. In 2008, a baby with two heads to the world who later died was in Bangladesh.
There have been a number of cases of polycephaly, the condition of having more than one head, in recent decades.
