Bacca: PSG move fell through because of non-EU rule

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has admitted he considered joining West Ham in the summer and was impressed with their proposal.

Colombia worldwide Bacca, Sevilla’s leading scorer in his two seasons at the club before joining Milan in 2015, said PSG showed an interest in buying him this summer.

“I congratulate Paris Saint-Germain for choosing Emery”.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, the Colombia worldwide said: “The offer of West Ham was very good I thought”.

“He has improved my performances, I always felt at ease with him, because he always trusted me”.

‘He’s also a good friend of mine, maybe this is the secret of such an excellent relationship.

“Emery is the best coach I’ve ever had”, Bacca continued.

‘I’d like to work with him again in the future.

While it remains to be seen whether PSG make a move for Bacca in January, they were not the only club interested in taking the 30-year-old away from AC Milan in the summer.

“The reality is that they were in contact with my agent, but they didn’t have a vacancy for a non-European player”, he told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

He said: “The offer of West Ham was very good I thought”.

Bacca has scored three goals in as many Serie A games this season, but Milan have taken just three points from a possible nine.
