“Back to the Future” stars Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox reunite

But local fans of the trilogy starring Canadian actor Michael J. Fox might just do a double take on Wednesday, thanks to Andrew Grantham of Sudbury. It flew off in a brilliant burst of brightness and color, headed – back to the future!

But imagine if Marty McFly and Doc Brown were to visit the real 2015 – not the Back to the Future 2015, the 2015 we live in today. It just keeps going on.

In case you’re wondering, seven players on the Cubs’ 25-man NLDS roster hadn’t yet been born when “Back to the Future Part II” was released on November,  22, 1989.

Female president. Glimpsed on the front page, Part III: “President says she’s tired of reporters asking the same questions”.

Lloyd adds: “I’m not sure things are foreordained”.

Out of the technology that was introduced into the film, how much of it is being used in everyday life now?

In the movie, Michael J. Fox’s character, Marty McFly, was convinced to go back in time to bet on sporting events. Of course the great threat to the beauty of that future arises only after Biff decides to carry out Marty’s unfortunate plan and change the past.

In the movie, he said: “I went to a rejuvenation clinic and got an all-natural overhaul”.

“I would love to do Doc again, no question”. If they can beat the New York Mets, they’ll advance to the MLB Championships – and if they do, they’ll have a special player on their team! To this day, it’s very fortunate that the Back To The Future franchise has remained untouched for this long. Fox really does look like the old-version of himself in the film, so they sure got that right.

Hoverboards. Nope, skateboards haven’t been engineered to float yet, either – although you’d think some toy designer would have gotten on that by now.

They also are, well, the Marlins.

“I still have all my wigs”.

But for other brands, a role in the original films is not a requirement.

“That was fun and crazy and silly”, she laughs before pointing out the significance of that section of the film.

But the 2015 World Series is still, well, in the future.

His fellow cast members could not have spoken more highly of him, though.

Terrafugia unveiled a prototype the Aeromobil 3.0, which they claim could do more than 400 miles in one trip. Now if we could just a working hoverboard in time for Christmas.

They suggest that the new Back To The Future car should be a Tesla.

“Bob was flying hours each day backwards and forwards while we were doing the second and third films”, he says. More than 100 million Apple iPad’s were sold following its release in April 2010 and mid-October 2012.

Double neckties. You mean you’ve still been holding out hope for this fashion-forward silliness?

Doc Brown’s futuristic style binoculars were able to use facial recognition technology to track their subject and appeared ridiculous at the time.
