Trump is holding a rally Tuesday at XFINITY Arena in Everett.
The New York businessman’s plane landed at Paine Field just after 4 p.m.
People started gathering outside the facility hours before the doors opened and the line to get in stretched for blocks.
A prominent supporter of Trump’s apologized on Tuesday for sending out a tweet that showed a cartoon image of Clinton in blackface.
An organized protest rally began Tuesday afternoon at Clark Park.
“I like Trump because he’s pro-gun and he wants to enforce immigration”, he told The Daily Herald.
Trump said the Republican Party had to build on the heritage of Lincoln, who freed the African-American slave population in the US Civil War 150 years ago and give African-Americans and other racial minorities the opportunities they had been denied for so long.
I also asked which one issue he would pick as a reason for reluctant Republicans to come around – and told him he couldn’t pick Supreme Court appointments or simply keeping Hillary out of the White House, two reasons we’ve heard for some time now.
Trump last visited the state in May, when he held rallies in Spokane and Lynden.

Trump has made much-maligned efforts to appeal to black and Hispanic voters, groups that generally support Democrats and are expected to vote heavily for Hillary Clinton in the November 8 election. The state hasn’t voted for a Republican candidate for president since 1984.
