Akela Moore, 30, said she grew up listening to Bad Boy Records, which was founded in 1993 by Puffy.

And Sean promised it wouldn’t be an average show – but would be a part of “hip hop history”. It is now a division of Sony Music. “All their music is timeless”. However, the circumstances surrounding Biggie’s birthday in addition to a Bad Boy Family Reunion made the announcement of a second reunion show sell out so quickly, a full length tour is a relief to fans who couldn’t get their hands on tickets.

“I’m super-stoked for Total and Mase”, she added.

They really are Bad Boys for life! At the time, the media mogul revealed that, in addition to the vast majority of artists who graced the roster over the last 2 decades, several friends and family would be joining the festivities, including Jay Z, Lil Kim and Mary J. Blige. “This (is) my brother”, he said next to Jay Z, who earned the night’s loudest applause.

“They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end”, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE in April. “I’ve been out here since the beginning!” The day is also one day before the late Notorious B.I.G.’s birthday, which Diddy also shouted out.

The musicians then gathered on stage to conclude the concert alongside a choir to perform Puff Daddy’s tribute to Biggie, I’ll Be Missing You with the rapper’s widow Faith Evans.
