The 25-year-old Olympiacos forward was seen Sunday with a bandaged wrist that Quintanilla said was suffered while Pulido was trying to escape through a broken window.

Mexican football player Alan Pulido was rescued after he untied himself, fought one of his kidnappers and took away his phone to call police hours after his abduction, authorities said Monday.
A kidnapped Mexican footballer was able to escape from his captors and reach authorities who brought him to safety, according to state officials.
The player underwent a medical exam after his rescue.
“Everyone began to activate to look for him, especially when we knew who he was, because we knew it was going to make a big ruckus and was going to be affecting us a lot in the press”.

The kidnappers had demanded $325,000 (6 million pesos) from Pulido’s family for his safe return, but the athlete overpowered and beat one of his captors so badly that he had to be hospitalized. Pulido was not rescued by federal and local police.
No ransom was paid for his release.
According to Mexico’s Proceso Magazine, the cartel faction known as Vieja Escuela Z hung a banner and issued a statement on social media claiming that Tamaulipas police forces had been protecting the cartel members of the CDN who had kidnapped Pulido. “We thank everyone for their concern and prayers during the hard moments he has lived”, Olympiakos said via Twitter.
Pulido’s kidnapping shocked his current and former clubs.
“Pulido is now being medically evaluated and more details on the rescue operation will be sent out later”, it said. He had scored three goals in earlier call-ups.
