In some ways, Viola Davis’s Amanda Waller is the real villain of the movie. Fair enough, but at the end of the day it’s a movie that is very enjoyable.

There have been news of bad reviews regarding “Suicide Squad” during its world premiere. We learn more about their history, and see some great interactions between the characters. That can’t be much of a big spoiler.
“Suicide Squad” actress Margot Robbie described Harley Quinn as “crazy”. She is convincing as the super sexy, super tough, and super conflicted better half of The Joker.
In case you didn’t know already, Suicide Squad tells the terrific-looking tale of the world’s most risky, incarcerated super-villains who are sent off on a mission to defeat a deadly enemy. When asked what he thought had happened to the Joker during that time, Leto said “that’s a good question”.
And thus the “suicide squad” is born, comprising some of DC Comics” most famous bad guys: crack assassin Deadshot (Will Smith), femme fatale Harly Quinn (Margot Robbie), unsafe “Captain’ Boomerang (Jai Courtney), flesh-eating Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), fire-manipulating El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), messed-up Slipnot (Adam Beach), powerful sorceress Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) and expert martial artist Katana (Karen Fukuhara).

Many critics have panned the film, with Richard Lawson of Vanity Fair calling it “too shoddy and forgettable to even register as revolting”. DC’s universe seems like it’s inherently darker, broodier than Marvel, which is the way Christopher Nolan went with his Dark Knight trilogy, but now DC seems to be having trouble owning that. A group of convicts, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and co, are brought together by the government as a secret task force to take down an enigmatic, insuperable entity. She will dominate Halloween cosplay in 2016 for sure.
