The College Football Playoff (CFP) selection committee released its penultimate rankings with no change to its Top Five. The Cougars have the highest ranking of the non-Power Five schools, and they face 22nd ranked Temple in the AAC Title Game on Saturday.

Most of their wins have lacked an impressive quality; however, they have been hoisted back into the top four.
